Access to space and a career as an artist shouldn’t depend on who can afford it. Bolding at Alfies is a new collaborative initiative between Bolding gallery and London’s iconic Alfies Antiques Market offering short term free exhibition space to emerging artists and makers who will temporarily take over unoccupied stalls throughout the market. These shows sit outside Bolding's formal programme, curated and facilitated by the artists, curators and designers themselves. As opposed to other galleries staging exhibitions in disused spaces, Bolding at Alfies functions within the chaos of a fully operating antique market.
We are currently accepting proposals, granting temporary spaces in Alfies at no cost for short hire periods. In the spirit of community and a love for art, Bolding and Alfies Antiques Market are excited to support a new generation of makers and artists.
